announces the immediate release of the KV7 motherboard which is based on the
long-awaited KT600 chipset. VIA chipset based boards have always represented
good value for money and the KV7 should be a big step up from the often
criticised KT400 series. It will be interesting to see if it can take the

available at www.abit.com.tw VIA are today launching their PT800 Chipset. This is a budget solution for processors with an 800MHz FSB and it already has the backing of the major motherboard manufacturers. It utilizes Single-Channel DDR memory, however, we have been told that it performs as well as the more expensive Springdale and Canterwood boards.
